New Orleans, LA
New Orleans is a vibrant city with a glorious soul. It has a culture of its own; from the historical landmarks to the modern joints, it's a must see. The people are just as amazing as the city, it's so hard to believe that tragedy had struck such a place, because the city and the people contain such a joyfulness. It's a must to see and experience this beautiful place for oneself.

The French Quarter
Two words... MUST SEE. You cannot go to New Orleans without seeing the French Quarter. It is bigger than I imagined and is goes beyond just Bourbon St. With stores upon stores, restaurants, and more.
Jackson Square
The Jackson Square is a amid the French Quarter. It's full of historical sights, music, and art.
St. Louis Cathedral
Beautiful! This 222 year old Cathedral is the center of Jackson Square and rightfully so.
The Riverwalk
So much to see and do! As you walk along the side of the Mississippi river you could do many things. There were historical landmarks, art sculptures, an outlet mall, and a plethora of; sites, restaurants and stores. The possibilities were endless... did I mention you could ride a ferry or even the Mississippi Queen, herself.
Frenchmen Street
From its fresh deli to its beautiful park, Frenchman St. is extraordinary. Located in the heart of a neighborhood, it brings such a homey feel. As you walk towards the bars and tattoo shops you follow a clump of painted fishes. The vibe turns into an artsy overtake as vibrant colored doors and graffiti walls appear. Frenchmen was certainly a highlight of my trip.

St. Roch Market
Delicious Delicious DelicIous! This food joint had many different restaurants inside. You could choose from so many different styles of food; from Vietnamese, to Haitian, and of course Cajun. This was my favorite place to eat-hands down!
Press St. Station
Awesome Service. This place was modern and slick, inside and out. They sold fresh tomatoes and delicous coffee.

Because I went in a mission group, I stayed in a house filled with bunk beds that was owned by the ministry we were working with (click here to learn more). Therefor I cannot supply a suggestion on where to stay, But N.O. was definitely worth the trip. I hope to go again soon to explore all the spots I missed and revisit the ones i've already seen!
