Hello All! I am so excited and amazed at the construction of this blog. It is my immensed pleasure to be apart of such a needed organinzation. One that is built upon showing others the love of Christ, through media and the arts.

Born in Mississippi, raised 7 years in Louisiana and 4 in Michigan- quickly grew my urge for traveling. I currently reside in Fort Worth, TX, were I have lived for the past 6 years.

I am a wanderlust teenager who longs to see this beautiful world that God has created; and through that tell others about Him. Some of the highlights of my life have been going on mission trips across America and seeing how beautifully unique every person is. Throughout high school I found out that I greatly disliked math but loved to do all things artsy, from handlettering and photography; to decorating, fashion, and music. I feel God has equipped me with such talents to bring Him glory and see the artwork and beauty in all humans. I hope to use them in the coming years as I prepare my journey to live over seas.

Welcome to the Meraki Blog! I am very honored and determined to be a part of this organiztion, on which I believe will be a great inspiration to many both young and young at heart.

I Currently live in Fort Worth, TX, born in Mexico, blooming college student with interests in the medical feild which explains my obsession over the Grey's Anatomy TV show. I love fine arts such as acrylic painting, calligraphy wrtiting and playing acoustic instruments. I have gotten the chance to volunteer and do community service towards hosting school activities around the city, and spending time with CBI (Community Based Instruction) students. These students have a spark in their soul, always smiling, and have taught me just how much everyone matters.

In my future years I aim to be involved in the medical feild, for the purpose of being able to give hope and heal people in need. I stand unshamed with my faith in Jesus Christ, and encourage His teachings and love.

The Vision

It all started with a question.

Should we create the blog? After months of contemplating whether our motives were worth doing, not only did we decide that the blog was a good idea, but believed without a doubt it was a mandatory action filled with a neccessary purpose. People and ideas are the ultimate things that bring the world together, colliding with different and unique interpretations of our modern life today.

This means something.

Our ideas shape our world. A good example is the telescope invention made by Hans Lippersey in 1608. Curiosity of the unknown ignited in Lippersey, and eventually brought up a universal tool used to learn and discover vast beauties beyond our imagination. Everyone has the capacity of doing extraordinary things, and we want to encourage and fulfill that idea. Therefore that is why we created this blog established as Meraki (may-rah-kee), which is a greek adjective word, meaning to do something with soul, creativity, or love; to put something of your self into your work.

There are numerous amounts of blogs written by people nation and world wide. What makes us different you may ask? Genuine character, humble hearts, originality, modesty, and legit intentions to make an impact in people's lives. Our hearts are broken for this generation; there are so many stereotypical beliefs, unackowleged jugdment, and voices longing to be heard. We are all on the same learning path and together need to keep consistant preserverance towards bettering oursleves with whatever we do, regardless of what situations we find each other in.

Anyhow, a brief background story of us; we met in middle school, and throughout 7 years, we found out we both have a fond of being creative and have the same goals of inspiring others and bring out the best in them. Soon enough we collaborted and made the desicion of creating this blog. Therefore with best regards, we invite you to journey with us as we explore, learn life lessons, and make a change in this  world. All said and done with meraki.
